This has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It is written to accurately describe how FamilyDose actually works today. A final, counsel-reviewed version will replace this before Paid Soft Launch.
By creating a FamilyDose account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FamilyDose.
FamilyDose is a tool that helps you and your family track medications, doses, and symptoms, and keep a shared record everyone in the household can see.
FamilyDose is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app diagnoses a condition, recommends a medication, or tells you what dose to give. It is built to help you keep track of decisions your doctor or pharmacist has already made. It never replaces them. Always follow your prescriber's instructions, and consult a qualified healthcare provider with any medical question. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you have an urgent medical question, contact local emergency services or your prescriber right away rather than relying on FamilyDose.
You must be 18 or older to create a FamilyDose account. A child or other dependent never creates their own account or signs in. Everything about them in the app is entered and managed by the adult household member responsible for their care, who is responsible for the accuracy of what they enter.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You agree to use FamilyDose only for its intended purpose, tracking medications and health information for your own household, and not to:
You own the medication, symptom, and household information you enter into FamilyDose. You give us permission to store, process, and display it back to your household solely to provide the service, described fully in the Privacy Policy, and for no other purpose.
Medications, patients, and dose reminders are free in FamilyDose forever. There's no cap and no paywall on the core of what keeps your family safe. FamilyDose Plus is a separate, optional tier that adds extra seats, full history, analytics, and a few other conveniences, described on the Plans page. Nothing that works today on the Free plan becomes paid later; Plus only ever adds, it never takes away something that already worked.
FamilyDose Plus is not yet available for purchase. When billing launches, subscribing to Plus will be handled through Apple's or Google's own in-app purchase system, billed and cancelled the same way any other app subscription is, directly through your Apple ID or Google Play account, not through us. This section will be updated with the specific terms once billing is live.
FamilyDose is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we don't warrant that it will meet every need you might have. In particular, and worth repeating: reminders and alerts are a convenience, not a guaranteed medical safety system. They depend on your device, its notification settings, and network connectivity, any of which can fail. Never rely on FamilyDose as your only safeguard against a missed or double dose for a medication where that would be dangerous; use your own judgment and your prescriber's guidance too.
To the fullest extent the law allows, FamilyDose and the people who build it aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any harm arising from a missed, late, or incorrect reminder, or from a decision made based on information you or another household member entered into the app.
You can delete your account at any time directly in the app under Settings, immediate and permanent, not a request that waits on us. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, with notice where practical.
If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for a change significant enough to affect your use of the app, notify you directly rather than relying on you to check back.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This specific choice is flagged for confirmation, not assumed final. It should be confirmed (or changed) as part of the counsel review noted at the top of this page.
