Common questions
Is FamilyDose free?
Yes. Unlimited medications and patients, a shared record for your household, dose and symptom logging, a reminder at dose time, and missed-dose, temperature and extra-dose notifications are free. FamilyDose Plus is an optional extra tier for more caregivers, full history and a few conveniences.
Can more than one person use it for the same family?
Yes, that is why it exists. Invite a co-parent, a grandparent or a nanny, and everyone sees the same record. You choose what each person can do. The free plan includes 1 owner plus up to 2 restricted members.
Can I track medications for more than one person?
Yes. Add every patient in your household, whether that is a child, an aging parent or yourself, and switch between them in one app. There is no limit on patients or medications on the free plan.
Does it replace my doctor or pharmacist?
No. FamilyDose keeps records and sends reminders at the times you set. It does not diagnose, prescribe, advise, or tell anyone what or how much to give. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Is my family's health data private?
The people you invite can see your household. Anyone you give a link you create yourself, such as a care card link, can see what that link shows. Authorised FamilyDose staff have limited access for support and to keep the service running. FamilyDose does not sell your data or use it for advertising. You can export everything for free and delete your account in the app. The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy has the details.
Is it available for iPhone and Android?
FamilyDose is being tested on iPhone ahead of an invitation-only beta, which has not started yet. Android is coming. Join the beta list and we will email you when invitations go out.
